Our thin nuts, also known as jam nuts or half nuts, are low-profile hexagonal nuts with a height approximately 50-60% of standard hex nuts. They are primarily used in double-nut locking configurations where a thin nut is tightened against a standard nut to prevent loosening from vibration. Their reduced height also makes them ideal for space-constrained assemblies where a full-height nut would not fit.
